Defense Networks Should Be Multi-layered to Deal with Drone Threats

Drones will become an important means of asymmetric warfare because of its low cost and great destructiveness. A drone carrying explosives, biological poisons and radioactive materials can easily break through the air defense network, causing great harm to the target. It is becoming more and more urgent to protect key civilian and military facilities and major event sites from drone photography, threatening item delivery and even direct attack. Small drones are small in size, and are not easy to be detected as they have no obvious characteristics.

Establishing a multi-level defense system for echeloned counteraction is an effective way to ensure target safety. Whether it is a means of detection or interception countermeasure, multi-level networking interception should be carried out according to the distance of action.
