Drones Defense of Key Energy Infrastructure
Nuclear facilities, as well as oil and other energy infrastructure are all potential terrorist targets. Drone attacks with explosives may not be far off.
China's oil pipeline storage and transportation companies began deploying the drone intrusion prevention system in the oil depots along the coast of Ningbo. This indicates that preventive measures against the threat of drone attacks have been launched at China's domestic oil facilities. It is noteworthy that the system adopts passive monitoring mode and uses electronic barrage jamming to drive out threatening drones.
The energy infrastructure covers a large area with many dangerous sources. Once attacked, the damage is huge. Defense measures against drones should be based on early detection, early warning and early countermeasures.
Defense-in-depth and early warning provide conditions for effective countermeasures. For drone detection and countermeasures, we need to adopt a variety of means and multi-layer defense to ensure drone interception outside the safety zone.
